Common questions

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed to book with us. Some extended health plans ask for one, so it is worth checking your plan.

How do I know if speech therapy would help?

If you are noticing any of the signs above in yourself or your child, or a doctor or teacher has mentioned it, a free 15-minute call is a good first step. We will tell you honestly whether an assessment makes sense.

Do you see adults?

Yes. We see teens and adults for clearer speech, stuttering and confident communication, and for swallowing difficulties, voice disorders, and speech or language difficulties following a stroke, traumatic brain injury or other neurological condition.

Where do sessions happen?

At our Langley clinic, at home, at school or online, depending on what works best.

How long does therapy take?

It depends on the goals. After the assessment we will give you a plan with a realistic timeline.
